Time to clear out

There is this myth that we need to be a good painter, 12 hours day 7 days a week to painting. If we take the time for other things liability from solves its ugly head. But hey, we are artists. We need time to gather resources, can absorb life, think about things, see art museums and galleries, with other artists commiserate, take long walks, and meditate. This last month I have been Studio cleaning my. I completed a trash dumpster yesterday with over 20 large size garbage bags filled with all kinds of junk e I could have sworn I would paint in a collage, or contain some art project. To much STUFF will keep, only feels claustrophobic, and is not useful creativity. I decided that I wanted to really focus on painting. So everything in my Studio fits go. I donated 20 years fabric for an arts organization and fields which collects craft items such as glitter, sound, fringe, and buttons to children art group. I feel lighter. In my view, as I can concentrate. I feel GREAT

The pleasures of working in series

You have just completed a set of 12 paintings for my latest show be I'm ruminating on the benefits of working together on many pictures at the same time. That view or already planned exhibition not only receive an incentive to work in multiples, but also helps push artists to new heights with their work. I recommend very try if you have not already done. First, you have a show to post. If you a gallery which do not have your work, then should you reference date have an exhibition in your Studio. A few days before cleaning are some great food for your work and I hope you have already invited friends, and a transaction in the local paper. You can easily get shows in restaurants, banks, and other places to enjoy the public art and someone to other places in the effort and cost involved. Review more information about retrieving shows art calendar, http://www.artcalendar.com/home.asp
a great monthly informative artist magazine.

Now you have posted a show and I hope you planned it a few months away (at least) too much time to paint. I work in stages. First I decide, how many paintings I think I do at this time and how many will fill the space required. I all mean supported at once make (paintings and panels). I large size, another third medium and the last third small make a third you. Some are some horizontal vertical, and don't forget squares.I stretch canvas, seal, and gesso (Prime) all at once.Saves much time to do everything in stages and is easier to focus on each level on each task to the hand tools, products, and a different way of working and energy focus erfordert.sobald all my support, view the ready and have, I allow a few days (at least) to sit and think about favorite pictures I in folders collect, note sheets, by books in the library, ideas and sketch. Finally, begins a vision form

Shock art is boring

just look at what was canonized in large is international art magazines and elitist Biennales. Shock art is work which used (sexual in nature) shocking pictures or bodily liquids combined with religious symbols (sound familiar?) Now, this trend is finally losing steam and provide a deeper art by shine. I believe mysterious in fact the entire era of schockierend, incomprehensible and elite art comes to an end. Let's get real. How many decades can something that was once erschreckende nor to create all emotional reaction except boredom? It was a human need, art, always in the course of history to play and experience to make. Art has been increasingly important as trends come and go to circle.

Great art for me, is work that provides an experience - an experience deeper than intellect, deeper than a surface shock, evoking emotions of human experience to connect. If I say my immediate response usually all a work of art. The work is if successful, me deeply into draw, use its elements, enjoy it on many levels, and inform me in my view rooted invite spot. I hesitate as a new lover.Work that has these qualities is un self consciously usually work, with no agenda with joy and not hard report created. great art is difficult to find and takes courage to try a certain ease - to.

The last artist meetings seemed very often this topic kommen.Eine of my friends recently wrote about these phenomena in your blog: http://www.destinyallison.com/art-blog/index.htm

Why paint?

. These moments can strike at any time. I can best work painting my life have a steady flow of sales and still cause those moments, I wonder if I should really search for full time work. Each single my friends artists to those moments at different times in your life arrived. Fortunately it usually take for you and me, too long. We need to check is to whine a little with a fellow artist and tell you our thoughts, and we get the usual burst laughter and a pat on the back. You take easy us because we all were. Cycles are important. Every time I ask I back to a clearer more potent response cycle and continue with umwandelte diligence paint me why I am painting. Perseverance, I believe, is the most important ingredient to success as a professional artist. To those down times let us from first back in the saddle and further to the paint.

Reduce thread or printed papers

A recent study was me regarding archiving type of commercial paper and other additions to the not-fine-art products, in paintings added. It is something you can do to reduce the a or hide printed newspapers. Golden has two products, the both have UV protection and in particular to increase made the longevity of the inks and other colors. There is a UV gel used in glossy or satin. This applies on the documents. The more layers of that you use more protection. There is a spray paint archive called lack in the satin, gloss and matte. Multiple sprays a brush application of gel with regard to the protection would spray at least 4 times.Labels immediately that I recommend: acrylic Techniquesposted of Nancy Reyner 8: 54 p.m.

A key ingredient for painting

to get to this process. Here, some possibilities are addressed to us and not distracted, keep: technical mastery of tools and materials that have a clear and organized group, for your process expenditure organise time and preparation for painting, delete to the area around our painting area only the images and items that are part of our idea are, clear clutter so that we can think distractions like phones ringing to avoid deliveries to our door and unexpected visitors. During the day is centered a big plus. Meditate in the morning to help me. All these not painting tasks are we have you achieved during the day as on a day job, child care, housekeeping, could computer correspondence, business details, and it border focus, good natured intention. When we practice, we can a good attitude for our painting time already and focus heated appears. For me, its better to be clear and optimal use of limited painting then force time me long painting

The mysterious radiant palette

all about? I received a study used light shift before recent questions about this concept of Thomas Kinkade and other artists, vibrant colours and an increase in the middle tones.

I think there are two ways to get this effect.
First, you make from your range so that it contains both modern and mineral colours (also known as organic and inorganic).Modern pigments are much harder, lighter and Yes, I guess you could say strahlende.Sie have to only around 60 years or so, so old masters you have used would not. My book acrylic revolution has dedicated a section they are.

Secondly, add iridescent and interference strong colors ability in different and different viewing angles increase pigmented colors to your portfolio. (The two fall in my book). These types of colors catch more refraktive - light - make your colored colors and amend accordingly can mix either. The iridescent with microscopic MICA chips to refraction add made, and pigmentierte colors, metals such as bronze, to simulate gold and silver. The intervention are very different. You refract different parts of the color spectrum.Appear opaque, if rests applied using bright colors and be flip complementary colors in different angles betrachtet.Diese same noise is a certain color switch between sparsely used over a dark color or when a small amount of dark color added wird.Diese a very fun to play and various combinations on your mixing palette to versuchen.Verwenden the modern pigments with intervention and iridescent to keep you refractive.Labels: acrylic Techniquesposted by Nancy Reyner 7: 13 A.m.

To wash transparent layers - glazing compared

There are 2 ways to a transparent layer acrylic apply color. One way is take a "Wash" or "II" using a mixture of water, colored paint in a ratio of approximately 8: 2 (this is not an exact science, but the idea is, add enough water which fully diluted binder of acrylic, typically at least to the half water, half color). This makes a very dilute color in the surface of the substrate to down sinks. Wash and patches are made to absorbent surfaces. If your surface matte (not shiny) it is absorbent. I use the word "Wash" mark Alot of this diluted mixture, sitting on the surface to Puddeln procedure. While I the Word use "apply" when diluted mixture is applied, then quickly into the surface with a dry rag rubbed remains only a tinge of color - as a "stain".

Apply the latter, a transparent layer of color is by Windows. A glaze in General does not water nothing but instead used to paint a mixture of media to color in a ratio of 8: 2.(again, not science, to feeling rocket freely, with the Verhältnis-play but at least half of the mixture should be medium) .medium glaze (instead of water as in Waschprogramme) use, sit glazes painting interface and need a non-absorbent (or shiny) surface smooth and easy to apply.

Take up a painting process, if you are need to apply a transparent layer to see the time, a second absorbency the surface at any point. If it is matte then try a wash, if shiny use the glaze. If it is matte, and would rather use a glaze, apply a medium brightness you first a coat. Let it dry, then apply the glaze. The opposite is true.If your area is shiny and to apply a wash, you use some product a transparent grit gibt.Meinen favorites for this is to use's Golden acrylic ground for pastel, diluted you it not dilute at least 1: 1 with Wasser.Wenn will be opaque and can easily hide or obscure the paint layers below.

Other tips: I would like to apply glazes with a brush in very small areas at a time and then with a rag I color distributed sparsely and evenly, which works better with a brush for dissemination.

Another idea would initially be a thin layer of apply the acrylic glazing-liquid over the surface and is then while still wet, can colored glazes which slip a little easier.

In addition of Golden discs make very easy. may to traditional glazes with more rapid drying regular acrylic try line of varnishes and mediums.Labels instead of the and new open acrylics have a very long drying time: acrylic Techniquesposted by Nancy Reyner 2: 03 am

Silent in art
