Time to clear out

There is this myth that we need to be a good painter, 12 hours day 7 days a week to painting. If we take the time for other things liability from solves its ugly head. But hey, we are artists. We need time to gather resources, can absorb life, think about things, see art museums and galleries, with other artists commiserate, take long walks, and meditate. This last month I have been Studio cleaning my. I completed a trash dumpster yesterday with over 20 large size garbage bags filled with all kinds of junk e I could have sworn I would paint in a collage, or contain some art project. To much STUFF will keep, only feels claustrophobic, and is not useful creativity. I decided that I wanted to really focus on painting. So everything in my Studio fits go. I donated 20 years fabric for an arts organization and fields which collects craft items such as glitter, sound, fringe, and buttons to children art group. I feel lighter. In my view, as I can concentrate. I feel GREAT
